CULTURE CLUBS

The Mountain Park clubhouse is host to a variety of social clubs. Join in and have some fun!

Garden Club (Seasonal)-Gardening enthusiasts will enjoy sharing gardening experiences and ideas with their neighbors. This is a great club with a casual atmosphere perfect for those seasoned in the art of gardening as well as the “green” gardener. The Mountain Park Garden Club meets at 7 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Mahjong Club-Mahjong is a fun and addictive game of skill played with a beautiful set of painted tiles. Mahjong originated in China and was quite popular in the United States in the early 1900's. As the game makes a comeback, Mahjong clubs are cropping up across the country. The Mahjong Club meets at 12:30 pm on every Tuesday.


ATTENTION! As of July, there is no other social club meetings for any of the clubs listed below due to lack of participation. If you would like to join, or maybe lead one of these social clubs, please contact the front desk for information.


Book Club-At each meeting, we will have coffee and tea available while we discuss our likes, dislikes, questions, etc. over the recent book read. The age-old book club will be held on the second Wednesday of the month from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Photo / Art Club-This club is an opportunity to share your art or that of an artist you hold dear. Bring in your favorite works; paintings, knitting, photography, clay, etc. to share as well as be entered to have a free art show in our Lupine Room. This club will be held on the first Thursday of each month from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm to coincide with first Thursday in the Pearl.

Playschool Express Story Time-Moms, Dads, Grandparents, and friends - bring your tots to come read and listen to stories that have long been forgotten. Have your little ones bring in their favorite books to share with the rest of the group while you sit back and relax together. This will be available from 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm on the 3rd Friday of each month.

Recipe Club-This club will give members and guests the opportunity to bring their favorite dishes and family recipes to the masses. Make sure to bring a scrapbook so you can keep these recipes some-where safe for the future. At each meeting, we will have a sign-up for who will bring in the next delicious treat for everyone to try. We will meet on the first Wednesday of each month from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Lupine Room.

Game Night-Each month a game will be chosen and will be played at the following meeting. Games could include: card games, Catch Phrase, Pictionary, Cranium, bridge, bingo, chess, etc. It’s up to you to decide what you’d like to play each month! This club will be held on the second Thursday of every month from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (time may vary).

Jogging / Walking Group-Bring one, bring all. Please join us in the lobby at the clubhouse and grab a cup of coffee or tea before heading out on your pre-planned journey. Depending on how you are feeling that morning we will have different options lined up for you for your morning jaunt around the Mt. Park trails! This group will meet every Saturday at 9:00 am.
