Fitness Class Descriptions

Body Fusion - dance inspired workout focusing on flexibility, balance, and coordination. Total body training that promotes inner strength.

Boot Camp - come ready to burn calories, build endurance, and have a great time while at it. Boot Camp offers a mix of cardio and strength training intervals. This is a challenging and effective hour of training. Bring water!

Cardio Blast - a great cardiovascular workout suitable for all fitness levels. This class incorporates hi/lo aerobics, cardio drills, step aerobics, interval and circuit training. A fun way to burn and firm!

Fit Club - a challening crosstraining workout which incorporates kettlebells, jump ropes, plyometric (jumping) work and just about anything you can imagine!

L.I.F.T.(Low Impact Functional Toning) & Balance - within the format of a low impact cardio workout, you can develop strong bones and muscles. "Functional" strength training puts the right amount of "stress" on your bones to improve bone density and enhance movement, so activities of daily living are easier to perform. This class is available to all ages and fitness levels, but is targeted to middle and elder age groups and/or those recovering from injury, who need a low impact option to cardio.

Pilates - improves flexibility, coordination, balance, posture, and breathing. Pilates also promotes increase endurance, stimulates circulation, improves digestion, and strengthens the lower back and abdominal muscles.

Pilates Basics for Beginners and Seniors - helps train our mind-body in developing a fluidity of movement and control. A great way to get relief from back pain as we strengthen our abdominal muscles in supporting our lower back. This is a great class for people just starting off or for people looking for an easier session to take.

Powerball - uses a stability ball to increase strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance of your abdominal and back muscles. Weights, med balls, and other strength training equipment used.

Strength Training - uses dumbbells, resistance bands, physioballs, and more to guide participants through a challenging, whole body strength routine.

Tai Chi - release stress and work on your mind/body connection through this slow moving art form. Improve balance, coordination, and strength. Cheng Man-ching short form taught with some Chi-Knng exercises.

Yoga - is a gentle yet dynamic form of mind/body exercise suitable for all ages and body types.  Emphasis on stress release and body relaxation. Yoga provides a well rounded and moderately vigorous workout.

Yoga Fitness - provides a variety of standing and seated poses to improve overall strength, flexibility, and balance.  Class is designed for beginner to intermediate levels with additional focus on 'breath to movement' to enhance relaxation.

Zumba - is a fitness program inspired by Latin dance. It combines Latin rhythms with cardiovascular exercise to create an aerobic routine that is fun and easy to follow.
